Geoff Fardell
started with ResCo in October 2009 initially as a business consultant and on 23 December 2009 was appointed
Chief Executive Officer (Acting). He will be working closely with the Chairman, board and senior management
team of ResCo.
Geoff is an experienced company executive with commercial, operational and financial experience across a
number of large organisations in different industries and countries. Over the last two years Geoff has
been a business consultant working with a number of large corporate clients.
From 2002 until 2008, Geoff spent close to 6 years as the CFO of previously ASX 200 listed company, Coates
Hire Limited, working closely with the CEO, the Board, and the Coates executive team in taking broad
responsibility for all aspects of finance. Over this period he participated in growing the company, which
undertook over 25 acquisitions. This together with organic growth and many internal improvement programs
significantly grew the company’s revenues, assets, profitability and market capitalisation, until Coates
was taken over in January 2008 for an enterprise value in excess of $2B.
He also has over 20 years experience with companies including TNT, Unisys, Trimac (Canada), Lend Lease and
KPMG (formerly Peat Marwick Mitchell). Geoff holds a BA (Economics) degree, and is a qualified Chartered
Accountant in both Australia (ACA) and Canada (CA), is a qualified Chartered Secretary (ACIS), and is a
Member of the Australia Institute of Company Director’s (MAICD).
